“Sehun, you’re looking pretty good to join the outside world now,” Boa said, smiling to the young boy, who was sitting on the futon. “Just don’t carry anything too heavy, ok? You still have to gain more nutrients for your body.”
Sehun nodded before watching Boa stand up and leave the medical tent. He sighed, not really wanting to go out to discover what life still had for him. Finally, after some moments of contemplation, he pulled himself together and got up from the futon to exit the tent.
He felt a little wobbly due to laying down most of the time, so he stumbled a little, right when the sun shone over his eyes. However, he felt a pair of arms around his waist.
“Careful there,” Kai said, stabilizing the boy. “Boa just told me you’re free to leave the tent, so I thought about coming to your rescue and introducing you to the rest of the team.”
The pale boy had already meet Seohyun, Tiffany, Boa, Taemin, Kyuhyun, Siwon, Yunho and Kai. He had heard a lot about the others, mostly because Kai would come to his tent and he would talk to him about the day’s activities and what annoyed him, or more like who annoyed him in that particular day. That’s exactly why he dreaded to meet Minho, Kangin and Kris the most.
Sehun blushed as he felt Kai’s warmness on his waist and neck. “Thanks, but get off,” he said, feeling a bit uncomfortable with the closeness of the other’s body.
“Feisty now that you got your strength back. I like that,” Kai joked as he helped the boy walk. “Well let’s go get the firewood for dinner.”
Sehun frowned. “BoA noona said I cannot lift anything heavy,” he said in half a whine, with a slight pout.
“Well, you can carry the sticks and twigs, then.” The older boy smiled, somehow enjoying how Sehun looked kinda annoyed. “Let’s go.”
On their way into the forest, they ran into Minho and Taemin, who looked overly flushed.
“Where are you going?” Taemin asked his brother as Minho rubbed his shoulders. “Oh, he’s up now,” he added after he noticed Sehun right beside Kai.
Kai rolled his eyes. “To get the firewood you didn’t get with me, hyung, due to your other activities,” he said impatiently, trying not to sound too annoyed. He knew Taemin needed time with Minho, but he also wanted some time with his brother. “And yes he is, and we have to go.”
Minho stirred a protesting Taemin out of the way, and let the two young men pass. Taemin looked over his shoulder and called out to make sure Kai had some kind of gun in case they were attacked. Kai held up the knife he had on his belt and kept walking with Sehun as he clearly heard Taemin telling him to ‘take care’ and ‘don’t anything dangerous’.
“He’ll be ok,” Minho told his lover as he kissed his forehead, preventing him to add a surely ‘don’t walk too far from the camp’ to the list of things Taemin constantly reminded his younger brother of 6 minutes.
Taemin nodded, and the two lovebirds went to help with the other things that needed to be done for the day.

Kai and Sehun walked in silence for a while until they got to a clearing where there was scattered wood.
“So…that was Minho? Is there a brother complex I feel?” Sehun asked, not really caring if Kai was going to be annoyed or not.
Kai rolled his eyes. “Ha-ha, very funny, brat-hun.” he responded sarcastically.
“He doesn’t seem like a bad guy,” Sehun said referring to Minho, totally ignoring what Kai had just. “I thought he was all bad and cold.”
“You don’t know him like I do,” Kai muttered, picking up a stick. “Can you just shut up so we can actually do what we came to do in first place?”
Sehun let out a soft laugh and started picking up some small sticks. Somehow, every time he spent time with Kai, he was able to feel like smiling again. Maybe this is what he had missed, some kind of human interaction with someone his age. Maybe Kai was right, there was still hope.
Both started to pick up more sticks when Kai started to hum a song for himself, but loud enough for Sehun to catch on.
“I didn’t think you were the type to like ‘a summer place’,” Sehun said, turning to look at the other boy with a raised eyebrow as he recognized the song.
Kai stopped collecting and turned to look at the pale boy. “I don’t. I just know the song because I danced too it some time ago,” he said shrugging. “I was too restless and a few years ago my parents decided to put me and my brother in ballet classes,” he explained after he saw the confused face of the younger boy. “The question is how do you know the song?”
Sehun licked his lower lip. “My mom used to like the song a lot,” he responded, trying to think just about the good memories. The memories of him and his family happily together. “She…I-I failed, you know?”
The older boy didn’t say anything. He just walked to the other boy and put down the sticks he had in his arms to hug Sehun slightly. He knew he had probably touched a soft spot and the pale boy surely needed an emotional release more than ever.
“I lived with my parents and two older siblings on the richer side of Seoul. My dad was a high-ranking military general and my mom was a high profile politician/activist. They weren’t home a lot, so my two brothers raised me. 2 years ago they went to College in the US,” Sehun commented, enjoying how Kai held him, preventing him from breaking down right there. “A few days before all this, my dad got called to Gwanjju, apparently to help lead a police training conference. I never saw him or my brothers again. I don’t even know if they survived over there or not. My mom was all I had left, and I vowed to protect her once we were told about this entire fucking thing. B-but....I failed,” he finished gulping down air as in a attempt to not to cry anymore.
“You didn’t fail, Sehun,” Kai stated, bringing the other guy closer to him. “You did all you could to protect your mom. I bet she is really proud of you.”
Sehun nodded, and looked at Kai, who smiled at him. “It will be ok. Every one of us at the camp, has lost people we loved and cared for…important people. But now we have each other. You’re not alone, Sehun.”
The young boy pulled back, feeling a bit embarrassed and awkward about this whole situation. Kai’s words made him feel uneasy in many ways. “Thanks,” he whispered and then cleared his throat. “So…more firewood?”
Kai laughed, and went back to picking up the logs, while Sehun got the sticks and twigs.
Sehun looked in Kai’s direction as the other boy was walking to get more firewood. The younger boy smiled slightly and went to finish his job.

Even though Yunho was the one who had caught almost three whole buckets of fish, he still volunteered to do more. More as in to clean, filet, and cook the fish. Changmin had volunteered as well to help, but as soon as Yunho began cooking them, something in the smell just made him feel nauseating and just plain bad.
“I’ll be right back, “ Changmin groaned and walked away from where Yunho was cooking, covering his mouth in the process. He just needed to get the fuck away from those fishes before he threw up.
He was fanning himself, walking to the other side of the camp as he bumped into Kangin.
“Watch out,” the other man said as he was about to climb the RV latter. “If you get hurt, your boyfriend will go on a rampage.”
“I can take care of myself,” Changmin retorted snobbishly.
Kangin laughed and rolled his eyes. “Even though it’s the end of the world, you still need to call me hyung.”
“I call no one hyung,” Changmin responded shrugging.
Kangin laughed once again and smirked. “Except at night, of course. You do know tents are made of fabric, right?”
With that, the older boy retired to the top of the RV laughing, and a blushing and somehow mortified Changmin made his way to his and Yunho’s shared tent. Damn! He had to make sure to not make a fucking sound while well…fucking. Before he got inside, Sulli handed him 2 twinkies, a can of tuna with vegetables and a bottle of water.
“Yunho oppa said you weren’t feeling all that great,” she said softly. “Hope you feel better soon.”
Changmin took the food, and smiled slightly to thank her. He entered the tent, and sat on the futon. Bambi stared at him, and Changmin stuck his tongue out at her before eating his food. It didn’t take long before he was finished and lounging back on his bed. The moment he closed his eyes, it felt as though a familiar weight was hovering over him. He peeked an eye open, and smiled at Yunho.
“What?” he asked, as a yawn escaped his lips. “How long was I out?”
Yunho pulled him up gently, and kissed him. “You’ve been sleep for over an hour and a half. Come on out to the fire. We have to know each other better,” the older man said, putting Changmin in his heavier police coat. “I know you never liked socializing so much before, but Leeteuk insists we need to interact more. You know how he is with all his activities to keep team closeness, and all that corporation psychology or however it’s called.”
“I know them better than you, Yunho,” Changmin said zipping the jacket up and taking Yunho’s hand. “Well, most of them.”
Yunho smiled and pulled Changmin in close. “I love you,” he whispered on the younger’s lips.
Changmin smiled and pushed him away slightly. “I already told you I loved you once today,” he said pretending to wipe his lips. “Saying it twice is too much. I’ve been rather cloying as it is,” he joked.
He didn’t exactly know why, but his and Yunho relationship had always been that way. Changmin had always been quite a hard to get bitch, but apparently the older man loved it.
Yunho shook his head with a laugh, and they both made their way to the pit fire.
Leeteuk made some space for them with a smile on his face as everybody’s gaze seemed to be on Kyuhyun. Apparently, they were gossiping .
“Well, I heard all this is global, so I’m not sure about that,” Kris said while munching on his fish.
“That doesn’t mean it wasn’t North Korea, you know they had been doing nuclear tests and all that for years,” Kyuhyun retorted. “Who knows what else they were experimenting with?”
“What if all this started in Russia? A meteorite fell there, remember?” Kai suggested this time.
“Well, now that just sounds insane,” Tiffany intervened.
“Yes, because zombies wandering all over has always been the most normal thing in the world,” Sehun said this time.
“They’re not zombies. They are just sick people who need healing,” Siwon tried to reason with them. “It’s a virus, I’m sure someone should be working on a cure in some kind of secret lab.”
“Like Umbrella Corporation,” Kyuhyun said, gasping a little. No one seemed to get a hold of what he was talking about for a moment. “What if it was something like that and this is like the T virus.”
“Care to explain what you’re talking about?” Kris asked.
Changmin rolled his eyes. “A video game. He’s talking about Resident Evil,” he explained. “It’s a game about a corporation that lets out a virus that turns people into zombies.”
“I’m kinda glad that these zombies are not like the ones from 28 days later,” Amber commented, patting on her stomach. She had loved fish and for the first time in days she was full!
“Agree. Ours are more like out from a George Romero movie,” Kai said. Everybody turned to look at him with confused looks and he shrugged. “What? How come any of you don’t know about that dude?! He’s the fucking father of zombie movies! Shame on you!”
Everybody started laughing and some continued eating.
“I was thinking,” Yunho started after some moments, gaining everybody’s attention suddenly. “It wouldn’t be bad if we trained a little. You know, self-defense for these crazy times.”
Kris perked up. “Guns? Explosives?”
Yunho nodded. “We all need proper training with these firearms and such. Only Changmin, Kris, Kangin and myself know how to shoot a gun properly, and I think it’s a good idea to train. You know for the safety of the group,” he continued.
Leeteuk didn’t really look so fond of the idea, but he nodded with a sigh. “You’re right,” he said to the tall man. “But we need to find a place where to do that, safest as possible and out of sound range from the city and the highway.”
“Kangin and I can look for that place tomorrow when it’s Yunho’s turn to watch over the camp,” Kris suggested, looking at everybody.
“So far we have a couple of rifles and guns and a few boxes of ammo. So, we’re gonna need more for sure. Bullets are spent really fast, especially while training.” Yunho observed.
“Where are we going to get more guns and ammo? Half the stores are cleared out of any supplies,” Kai questioned much to Taemin’s dismay.
Yunho thought about it for a moment. “I believe I have your answer,” Yunho said with a smile. “We can go into town. The station is stocked full of guns and ammo and I happen to have a copy of the keys with me.”
Changmin’s eyes widened along with Taemin’s. “No. Yunho! You are not going back into town!”
“We need more supplies, not just ammo, we also need more food and toilet paper,” Kai stated carefully, trying not to get into a fight or argument.
“I have to, Changmin,” Yunho insisted, looking at his boyfriend after what Kai had just said. “We need to be prepared,” he reasoned.
Changmin huffed and stood up. “I’m not discussing this with you,” he spat before walking away towards his tent.
“Changmin!” Yunho called out, but he was ignored. Yunho looked on helpless, and Leeteuk pulled him down to sit again. This was serious business and they needed to talk.
“Let him be for now,” he said. “He is upset and afraid. I’m sure he is not the only one,” Leeteuk added, turning to look a Taemin, who didn’t looked pleased at all. “But you have a good point. We need ammo, and we need to train. Violence is inevitable with the walkers.”
Yunho nodded. “We can move into town tomorrow.”
“Nah,” Minho said shaking his head, and avoiding Taemin’s gaze. “We should move in 2 days or more. Give you and your boyfriend a bit more of time to talk it out.”
Yunho nodded, and BoA came up to him. “If Changmin wants a shot at a decent pregnancy, then he needs to get vitamins and prenatal pills. Get them in a large quantity if they have them,” she said with a serious tone.
He nodded again and smiled at her, thanking her for worrying about their baby. He stood up and waved good night to the group before calling it a night. He walked towards his and Changmin’s tent.
Carefully and with a sigh, he braved himself and went into the tent. Changmin had his back facing him and he sat down right behind him. He saw the younger boy flinch but he knew this was a topic they needed to talk about now.
“Baby,” he whispered. “I have to go to town. We need supplies to feed, cloth, and ammo to protect us. I have to protect you and the baby.”
Changmin turned around and glared at him. “You are going because you want to, Yunho. Not because you have to. You could give the keys to them and they could go.” Part of him felt hypocrite and selfish to no end, but yeah, things were different now that it was Yunho going out there. This was probably how Taemin felt every single time not only his boyfriend, but his brother went out there for supplies for the whole group.
“I know the place and its surroundings more than anyone here. Probably I’m the one that knows more about guns than anyone here, Changmin! I need to go with them! This is for us, and for the team,” Yunho tried to reason with his boyfriend in whispers. The last thing he wanted was the others to know about their argument. “I’m not gonna let them risk their lives, Min. Not when I can help and protect them.”
“What about me? What about our child?” Changmin argued, still too upset about the whole situation.
“You talk as if I’m going to die Min. I’m not! I’ll come back!” Yunho all but shouted.
“What if you don’t?! What if you go and never come back. It’s a probability and you know it! I hated it. I hated it every single fucking time you went to work. I hated to be worried to death whenever I heard there was a shooting or something dangerous had happened!” Changmin exclaimed, feeling his eyes fill with tears. “I thought you were dead, Yunho! I lost you once and I won’t be able to handle it again. Please just stay…” he pleaded between sobs.
Yunho embraced his boyfriend and sighed. “You’re not going to lose me anytime soon, Changmin. I understand, but I really need to go baby. Do you seriously think I would willingly leave your side if it wasn’t really necessary?” He asked, feeling how Changmin relaxed a little. “I love you, Changmin. But we don’t know when this is gonna end or what it is to come and we need to protect ourselves. I need to assure that you and our baby are going to be safe,” he explained carefully, sliding his hands through the soft hair of his lover. “Please understand that I need to go.”
Changmin sighed and looked up at Yunho, still not saying a word. He closed the distance between their lips, enjoying the fluttering feelings he always had whenever they kissed, no matter who initiated it. “I know you. And I know you’re going no matter what I say,” he said, after breaking the kiss. “I’m tired right now and…can we think and talk about it tomorrow? Just let me get used to the idea tomorrow, ok? Right now I want to sleep, and I want you to hold me.”
Yunho nodded and both men laid down to rest properly. They cuddled, and enjoying each other presence for the moment.

I'm specially grateful for your words and I'm sure that without them I wouldn't be able to keep on writing. Lately I've been kinda out of myself or the world, but it is thanks to you and my fics, that I have managed to pulled myself together again.
