Aw man... I wasted a whole bunch time on my PC so I just wanted to rant real quick about this speech before sleepy time.
This speech... was everything Senator Obama needed to say. Some people, like myself, may think differently; but that's because we're not running for President. This man and his advisers know what the deal is. They had to cover a hell of a lot more bases than just apologizing to White America for his old pastor's Real TalkTM and he did the damn thing. Anyone who doesn't think he's not as shrewd a contender as Hillary truly isn't paying attention.
I gotta say though... damn, damn, damn. Racism isn't endemic to America, Barack? Israel doesn't deserve some blame for the fucked-up-ness of that region? It's all the crazy, radical Muslims' fault, eh? Goddamn, nigga. Shuck and jive much?!
This is why shit ain't gon' change. Anyone who chooses to show America how much their shit really stinks will never gain a truly powerful position here. There's never going to be someone in the White House who's down for gutting the low-lying problems. It's gonna stay rotting. 'Til it's so hollow the shell of its former self that remains won't even be able to sustain itself; and, I'm sorry, but if that shit happens during my lifetime, I ain't stickin' around to see it. That is some straight up bull shit.
And for the record, much of what that pastor said wasn't anything but the truth.

Also, I'm anxious every night when the topic of politics comes up at the job 'cause it's so obvious the general attitude of the place is pro-Hillary, and I haven't opened my mouth yet... but I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to hold myself back for too much longer. You know what someone had the audacity to say to me? That this "scandal" blew up 'cause the media was coming around and "finally" criticizing Obama like they were Hillary. Why weren't they before? Because, I was told, the media is owned by corporations, which are owned by Republicans, who are afraid of Hillary! Afraid of who?! Of the woman who won't win the general election unless her competition suffers a fatal stroke? That Hillary?
I'm trying so hard to keep my mouth shut... but they make it so. hard.
