Winter, of course. I’ve put up more outdoor Xmas lights and decorations: the lighted deer, and, for a change, a lighted tree. The doe figure only lit half way, but I located the culprit (a loose wire) and resolved that issue. The tree is our old 6’ artificial Xmas tree that was retired last year for a small, table-top affair. I’ve strung two 25 lamp sets on this and put it between the deer. Pictures will follow when we start lighting these next week.
Winter ballast has been positioned in the truck bed. Rear wheel drive needs a little help with added weight over the axel.
It’s the same process every autumn- assemble the frame, place the sand bags, cover the frame. After eleven years the wood is getting shabby.
The trail cam is up and running again. I’ve set it up out back behind the dog’s fenced yard.
The big buck came through a few nights ago. He was close behind a doe (not in this video still).
Also we had a coyote, or coywolf, come through. He’s difficult to see in this clip: awooo is your pw.
You can watch this video on www.livejournal.com
He is moving to the left, from about a third of the way over. Shadow yote!
Today we canned marmalade! We won’t know until tomorrow if it has set properly.
This is our alternative gift for family this year, instead of baking cookies. It was a long process preparing the fruit, but well worth the result!
That’s all. I started this three days ago and this will have to do ;o)
