A fly-by
A gusty, windy day today! The Xmas tree I set up out front has blown over several times, yesterday and today, despite using cinder blocks to secure its stand.
We canned cranberry jam and preserves today, 17 half pints total! This after my comments about not really liking cranberries other than the stuff at Thanksgiving. The jam has ginger and pear where the preserves are made with apples, oranges, and honey. Yum!

Now that we finally had a good rain I decided it was safe to use the fireplace (we’d been under a red flag fire warning due to drought). It’s been a long while since our last fire. The wood was well seasoned, but a little damp.
