Merry Christmas! (I would make this scroll if I remembered how . . .)
I hope everyone is enjoying their Christmas day so far!
I met up with Alisha today (Sunday), as she is in Kansas City. We went bowling then out to Dairy Queen. Later, she also went with us to Christmas Eve services, as the family of her friend does not traditionally attend. The service was good, as always, with a lot of good music and tons of people.
Yesterday was fun, as my uncle and cousin came down to my house to help us bake cookies. We had fun, and I took lots of pictures:
Spritz cookies (aka the most amazing cookies in the world)! Ingredients: butter, sugar, egg yolk, more butter and sugar. Heart attack in cookie form.
Mmmm.
Me and my mommy.
Totally not posed.
Again, not posed . . . and yes, that is the pineapple that Henry bought.
Sugar cookies! Ingredients: sugar flour and other stuff that I don't remember.
Cutting the sugar cookies.
Uncle Greg from Texas. If you think he looks weird . . . well, looks are not deceiving in this case :-P
My cousin, Nathan, whom some of you may remember from his trip to StL.
Nathan got some flour on himself . . . I totally had nothing to do with it . . .
He thought otherwise, though . . .
After the cookies were baked and cooled, my dad frosted them . . .
We sprinkled them . . .
And my mom packed them.
Other pix:
Our new Christmas tree that folds up and has lights already attached to the branches!
Nathan wearing my slipper. My foot is included for comparison.
My dad's tea ring that he makes every year and gives to neighbors. The recipe is a tradition in his family that I will probably continue.
Wasn't that amazing? I'm sure you all are just dying to come visit me. Although, when you do, we probably won't have cookies to give you.
