Lake Charles Day 3

Apr 13, 2009 00:15

I'm sorry for being so late, but Happy Easter everyone!

This morning before heading to church I enjoyed a delicious breakfast that was prepared by Rachel and her dad (who is a really sweet man; here's a shout out to Mr. Harmon!). I enjoyed a couple of scones with butter and this delicious jelly. I forget the jelly's name (Mayhew maybe), but I do remember that no alligators where harmed in it's production. deemichelleleft for home this morning so she stopped by to say goodbye to everyone. Deanna, if you are reading this I want to say that I really enjoyed getting to meet you. I wish that I could have spent longer with you, but maybe some day in the future I'll be able to visit Colorado.

I went to Easter mass at the McNeese State University Catholic Student Center with Erin and Camden. The service was nice. Even though I'm not Catholic I knew a lot of the responses and songs. That's due to several years of Bro. Steve at Eight Mile UMC.

On the way home from Wal-Mart (my second trip in the past two days) it started raining. I got soaking wet, but I was planning on changing clothes anyway. Lunch was sandwiches.

After lunch everyone just sat around and either read, listened to their iPod, or played on their computer. I downloaded and watched some old ER episodes and read some fanfic (rated M, btw; I bet you guys didn't imagine that coming from me).

For supper we had a pork roast, corn, brocoli and cheese, new potatoes, and yummy yeast rolls (which we are getting again at our cookout at Reaves' house). Everything was delicious. It was also good that Dee came over. She needed to have some fun.

After supper we exchanged our Secret Easter Pal gifts. From Olivia I got a plush Eeyore. I don't think we ever got those at my store. It's cool because it's the "classic" Eeyore. She also gave me a bag of almond M & M's, a little stuffed Donald Duck, and an awesome Ravenclaw scarf that she crocheted herself. Right now it's tied around the Rock Band microphone. Thanks Olivia!!

We played a fun game called Apples to Apples. It was so much fun. You have to choose a noun that goes along with a particular adjective. Camden one with 18 cards, Olivia came in second with 17, and I was in third with 14. I hope that we play again. We also did Rock Band again. I love that game. I've been singing along and sometimes Dee will.

Right now I'm sitting on my airmattress. I used Rachel's pump tonight so my mattress is nice and firm. Speaking of sleep, I actually slept better last night (this would have been Saturday night). I fell asleep a few minutes after I layed my head down. I woke up when everyone came in from the club, but then I fell right back to sleep. Sometime I got up and went to the bathroom, but then fell right back to sleep.

Tomorrow (which is actually today now, Monday) we are going to Natchitoches. That's where the movie Steel Magnolias was filmed. I'm excited about seeing that as well as this alligator farm. I'll be sure to take some pictures.

Good night all!
