Chillin' in the Bluff, Day 2
Today we went to Avery Island, the home of Tabasco hot sauce. We walked through the gift shop where a couple of us tried the halapeno ice cream. Yuck! It wasn't to my liking. We also took the short "tour" of the plant. It would have been nice to see the actual production line going, but I guess it was closed due to the holiday weekend. They did give us three small bottles of sauce so that was nice. My dad will like that. After the tour we sat under a tree and ate our sandwich lunch. The "skeeters" and gnats were awful. At least I didn't get bit by one like Olivia did.
Tonight we went to a restaurant called Pat's at Henderson. I tried alligator for the first time. I actually liked it and it did not taste like chicken. For my meal I got the boiled shrimp, which were good, but nothing different from what I have at home. Everyone got a dessert. I had the banana pudding. It was so good.
erynnpronter, swtcamden, rainymemories, and Olivia are going out to some clubs in a little while. I guess that me and bluecamosis will just chillax at the house. I'm going to have to get some better sleep tonight. Maybe I'll read a "bedtime" story (Reela!) before calling it a night.
