Study Monster
It's sunday night and I'm crazy brain dead from studying all day. I've got an economics final in the morning and then a statistics final on Wednesday. Finals kind of suck. I'm exhausted and can't think so straight. Does this really make me more educated, or just a sucker? Hopefully all this work is for something more than a good grade. I actually really like econ, despite my current state of delirium.
Last night J and I watched some Buffy episodes and then went to a friend's b-day party. It was a nice night. It was nice to remember that I have a life outside of school.
Friday night we went to see Tobias Wolff read. He's a great author. It was really fun to listen to him talk about other authors. He's super passionate about writing. Passion is such an infectious thing. It's intoxicating to be around someone who's talking about something they love. I'm excited for winter break and having the time to read books outside of school again.
I'm also super excited for Christmas. I love the holidays. I've bought tons of presents for people. I'm so excited to give them to everyone. J and I leave to go back East on Saturday! Yea! We're going to go to Boston, Maine, Wilmington, New Jersey, and Phillie. It's going to be so rad to see our families and friends. I want to go sledding!
So that's my life right now. I can't wait for finals to be over. Five days and I'm done!
