so far away
I've been gone for a while. J & I went back east in mid-December to visit our families. My family drove me a little nuts. J's grandfather died. It wasn't the best trip. Normally the East Coast makes me super happy, but this trip was a lot of family intensity. Some of the family stuff was good, some of it wasn't. Families are never easy.
When we got back we went to San Felipe, Mexico for J's birthday and New Year's Eve. San Felipe was much fun. We rented ATVs and rode around the dunes. Fun, fun, fun.
Now we're back in LA. UCLA has started up again. The work's already piling up, urg. It's nice to be back anyway though. I like school despite the fact that it kicks my butt a lot of the time.
I wanted to let everybody know about a couple cool things out there:
