Got the information for this year's JLPT! It's going to be in Yoyogi. That's on Yamanote and Chuo lines on the west side of Tokyo BTW (Yamanote being the best line ever because it is a circle going around the city, and Chuo being a (mostly) straight line from left to right across the city ( Read more... )

And, as always, I'm cheering you on for the JLPT. Maybe I should go learn some Japanese cheers and put together an Ouendan. :P

Haha oh no.... ouen is like the weirdest thing ever... I would probably laugh. I saw the kids at my junior high doing ouen on stage and it was pretty funny.

I had to read that hiragana like four times to figure out what it meant - you're right, it really throws me to see a loan word written out like that. I wonder why they do it!

I think the part that threw me off is that I kept thinking する meant that the first part was some kind of verb haha. Then I realized that the ending was るーむ and it came together from there. But seriously, I have no idea why they used hiragana there.
