Jake English is a true, stand-up gent, one with unquestionable swagger and panache. He possesses the heart of a true adventurer; there is always a loaded gun and a critical eye on the look-out for sacred urns to topple and mystic ruins to desecrate for their Byzantine wares. In his spare time, he partakes in viewing only the finest of cinema, eclectic as his tastes may be, and possibly engage in a bit of fisticuffs with willing cohorts, scrums and what not. Sex incarnate, dashingly brave, smartly dressed, and clever like three foxes taped together, Jake is a real knock-out and cerulean dames everywhere worship the ground he walks on.
^ And that is how Jake likes to view himself. Now onto the real personality section.
There is one, really good word to describe this boy, and that is: Sheltered. For most of his maturing life, Jake grew up alone in an island, so he has no actual yard stick to measure “normal” from not, let alone distinguish “swag” from “nerdy”. Grandpa Hass “The Flame” Harley, Pre-Scratch self, renowned adventurer, eccentric entrepreneur, and heir to the Betty Crocker Corporation, is Jade Harley’s grandfather. They lived together in an island and he took great care of her until Tavros mind controlled Jade’s dog to kill him.
In Act 6, post-Scratch (game reset), Jake English has only been recently introduced as this 15 year old guy who loved movies, fisticuffs, adventure, and cerulean ladies (hubba hubba). He made appearances Acts before as Jade’s mysterious pen pal from “the future” who assisted her in making John’s birthday present a.k.a. the weapon bunny Liv Tyler/Terry Kiser. “Green means grow; red means shrink ( ... )

Gryffindor: Look “Gryffindor” up in the dictionary, and you would find a picture of Jake winking at the camera. Jake is pretty damn heroic and manly, he has said so several times, as he is a trademark Gryffindor braggart. Seriously, though, the boy’s afraid of a number of things (he is plagued daily by the thought of FRIGHTENING FAUNA and their regrettable REALNESS ATTRIBUTE, for one), but when actually faced with it, he gets over his fear and just shoots.
Hufflepuff: He’s definitely loyal and tolerant. The other two, he has, sort of? They are just baselines to a really loud, bigger personality, unfortunately.
Ravenclaw: Jake is not the brightest tool in the toolbox. He’s above average at best; he definitely has a good grasp of the English vernacular and decent robotics skills, but I wouldn’t call him a genius, or even particularly that fond of learning.
Slytherin: Fighting to win is certainly an ambitious trait, and so is becoming wealthy on your own right. He’s also plenty ( ... )

It’s the last day of school before winter holidays, and Jake is a little antsy. His foot is tapping uncontrollably and silently against the wooden floor at class, and his quill doodles loop after pointless, green loop in his journal. The Professor’s voice is only background noise to his ear, as his mind is attending more pressing matters at hand:
What to do during the vacation? He’s going to be away from his friends with nothing but watching the plant life grow around his bedroom as if the place is a makeshift greenhouse. His Grandma was a lot better at taming those vines than he ever was. He supposes he could visit Jade as well, but would that be too bothersome for her? She probably has a lot on her plate, what with her being a genius witch and all. Jane? She and her dad would probably welcome him with open arms, but what about the implications of that? Lalonde? Malarkey. The Lalonde household is a passive-aggressive battlefield, and he swore never to get into that crossfire ever again? ( ... )
