A girl on a message board I frequent recently got the words "cela passera aussi" tattooed on her wrist. She then proceeded to post to the board, saying that she's Italian and she wanted the Italian phrase for "this too shall pass" tattooed on her wrist, and can we please verify that "cela passera aussi" does in fact mean "this too shall pass ( Read more... )

Haha, is that meant to be "what the fuck"? (I mean, maybe it is. I never learnt how to swear properly in French, except that they say, "putain!" all the time, especially while on their playstations...).

Un baiser (noun) is a kiss. I think. Baiser as a verb is to fuck *nods* If you want to be safe, just stick to 'bisou' for the noun 'kiss' and 'embrasser' for the verb 'to kiss'.

I keep wanting to say something about possibly checking with the rest of her presumably Italian family about the text just in case, but the amusement is clouding my thoughts. XD And the part of me that actually enjoys translation is also sort of whimpering in pain.
