road trip day five
We got up rather earlier than we had planned due to the large Indian family above and next door deciding they needed to plan their day, loudly, outside, at five-thirty in the morning. Gah.
We had showers, breakkfast, packed and were checked out before eight. Then a quick topup of petrol and off we went South.
Aside from a quick stop at the Koanga garden centre we went straight to Auckland, where we picked up our stuff from O&S and had a quick bite of lunch. Then we set off again. We had afternoon tea in the Hamilton Gardens, then a pleasant walk around the paradise gardens before we took off to Pirongia.
The usual warm hospitality was offered by the lovely magsmcm , B and kittens. The kids were pretty weary at this stage, and not at their best, so they had an early night - under protest - and I had a pleasant evening with adult company.
