I thought (UNSURPRISINGLY) Seth MacFarlane was a pretty terrible host, with only a couple of notable exceptions (the Sound of Music joke was great, as were his jokes about the length of the show, but truly EVERYTHING ELSE WAS AWFUL). But! Having said that, I still enjoyed this more than I've enjoyed the Oscars in several years. I was super invested in them this year since I've seen almost all the movies and REALLY REALLY WANTED ARGO TO WIN YESSSSSS. And there were so many excellent things! Argo winning! Flustered Ben Affleck! Jennifer Lawrence falling and then Hugh Jackman AND Bradley Cooper trying to help her (such gentlemen)! The Les Mis medley (I MAY HAVE TEARED UP DON'T JUDGE ME)! DDL's acceptance speech! Adele! George Clooney being hot! DANIEL RADCLIFFE!! Watching poor Kstew trying to hobble across the stage without crutches, poor thing (I felt bad for laughing but I couldn't help it)! A TIE IN ONE OF THE CATEGORIES!! MICHELLE FREAKING OBAMA!!!!!!!!!! Seriously if we could have had Tina & Amy for this instead of the Globes it would have been THE PERFECT OSCARS. What a great awards season this was. Why must it be over???
