Today, I saw the artwork for my new tattoo. I heart my tat artist (and lordameth for tolerating my several translation inquiries). He went out of his way to make the Koi a little different than a classic Koi because I wanted it to be more "flowy" with Kanji in the tail. It sounds weird, but it looks amazing. I went to my tattoo artist again yesterday. We were looking at the scar, and decided that the best route would be to not use my original idea (Celtic weaving in the shape of a fish) because it really wouldn't cover the scar. You need a lot of negative space to make what I want to work, work, and that will not cover the scar. Hm ( Read more... )
