Wow - This must be my favorite NaNoWriMo year. With all the energy from the other writers at the write-in, I completed my word count in record time.
Who would have thought that I could do 50,000 words in 16 days? Unbelievable! All of the credit goes to the following:
Candace - for suggesting the midnight kick off on the 1st of November - that was worth 2,000 words for me Cisco - I challenged him and forgot him. The one thing I had to do was to get to the finish line before he did. I did it!
All of the writers who came to a Central Iowa Write In - they rock. Their energy and enthusiasm is what kept me going, even when I didn't feel like writing.
Ryan - reporter from KCCI - came to interview those of us at a write-in at Scooter's. Always love the coverage for our group. They deserve it!
Jill & Lisa - the Scooter's manager and my favorite barrista! Their support for the Central Iowa group has been phenomenal. Not only did they provide a discount to our group, they make sure that we are always comfortable.
Trish - my sister - it is just words, words, words to her. She does want to read them though
Dad - so he doesn't really get what I am doing. He is just proud. I am so lucky.
Mom - the best on the earth. Loves me more than I deserve, supports me in whatever I want to do. She is one of my best friends
and finally to
Rick - my loving husband who supports me in whatever I do: he comes to the write-ins, he is my taxi driver and the driver for others in the group; he buys my teas and makes sure my cup is full. Truly, my cup runneth over. I love you honey.
It is a great feeling!
Thanks everyone!
