I feel like I live in a soap opera!

I swear there is soooo much drama in this dorm it's not even funny.

So, Jon had mentioned to me earlier today about an incident that happened in South last night in which an RA was drinking with residents; and to avoid a ticket, he jumped out a 3rd floor window and fled on foot. Well, apparently the RA was identified as Adam K (big surprise). Jon was told this by the police officer who was present. I figured, if the police are going around telling people in other buildings than it can't be that big of a secret. Well, one of our staff is on a huge ego-bitch-power trip and seems to think she has to be the one to control who knows and who doesn't. I only told other RA's about the information; and this staff member came to me and interrogated me about who told me and who I told. She was upset because residents were finding out. Well guess what, word travels and you can't stop it; it's especially obvious when the RA is moving out of the building... Now what would make residents think that an RA would move out if they werent in trouble? Jee.... It's frustrating when this particular staff person always thinks she has to be the keeper of the keys in everything.

In my opinion, if you're an RA who's dumb enough to drink with residents, stupid enough to risk death or serious injury by jumping out the 3rd floor window (all to avoid a $250 ticket) you deserve to be talked about and you forfeit your rights to privacy... Dumb ass....

So yeah, the drama in this place really needs to stop. I think the break will really help that. I hope.... otherwise we're gonna start having problems around here...

I think I can trust the staff person I talked to about this, Kim is still very trustworthy. But Miranda (the one on the power trip) yeah, don't tell that girl anything anymore.... What a little nag. Yeesh.
