Oh yeah, and the whole thing of the last entry that really upsets me?
The hall director blamed me for the whole situation. It was my fault because I shouldn't have been in the hallway waiting for her to get off the phone (rather than her just not talking so damn loud or waiting until a better time to take that call) it was my fault because I didn't see that she was "paralyzed" because of the emotional nature of the phone call and because I didn't pull her office door shut (rather than just getting over the drama and doing it herself).
The hell with that; it's not my job to control her emotions. It's not my job to establish her privacy--that's her own problem. In my opinion; she has only herself to blame. If you're going to take a personal call during work time you should shut your door before you even answer the phone. Being "paralyzed" is no excuse; her tone was gossipy and angry and she couldn't possibly have been so distraught that she couldn't shut her door; especially since she had clearly been alert enough to recognize that I was out waiting for her... if she was able to notice that; she was able to close the door.
I did my best to give her space; I did everything I could; and if that's not good enough--too fucking bad for her.
