After the adventures of Monday, things were really quiet socially. I did get pretty much everything for my upcoming course planned out (though I'll have to do some reviewing with people), but I wasn't really getting out and seeing people as well.

However, today made up for that in a crazy sort of way.

I've had some pretty good and some pretty rough days over the last month. I've been to a conference pretty recently, and that was quite cool, but I've also gotten pretty frustrated with my APhiO chapter. This, however, is a day that reaffirms why I'm really in the organization. I feel revitalized. This is why.

On Thursday, I got to explore the Pittsburgh zoo for the first time with gypsymila. Her sister's family had come to visit for some time, and the kids ended up going to the zoo with us. This meant we got to go through the zoo at a slower pace than I probably would've done on my own, but it ended up being more interesting as well to have them along. ( Read more... )

Somehow, I had the urge to post when I got home. I think it's because of two reasons. The first is that I just partially resuscitated the journal. The second is that it's good for me to document behavior that I consider particularly abnormal for myself, or behavior that I am proud of.
