Kayono The Plagiarist

May 28, 2010 21:20

 Don’t ever read or buy Kayono’s mangas. NEVER. EVER. I really felt that we need to boycott this little bitch to teach her a lesson. I was never fond of Kayono’s work: stupid and lame storylines, thin-as-stick super-big-eyed girl with melon-sized-breast, and so predictable endings. But I never hate her, until I knew the fact that she is a ( Read more... )

wow, I don't know the artist, but even to me it seems pretty obvious the court made a biased decision. :( it really makes me sad to see things like this happening in real life, and ending a perfectly good mangaka's career bc of someone's own selfish goals. DDD8

when i knew the news, i was so angry. that's really unfair, don't you think so? it's so obvious whose actually at fault, but the court won her.
just because of her mom and the genre of the plagiarism. i just can't believe that, it's so nepotism!

I have read Kayano's works and always disliked them greatly even before knowing of the scandal. Her works lack much plot and substance. I was so angry when I found out of her plagerism case, which is a bunch of bullcrap because she won using her mom's influence. Ban!

I've been a professional a long time, and I've reviewed the images you've posted as "evidence". Only the Calvin Klein ad qualifies of all the images you put up. There are SIMILARITIES in the others, but the laws regarding copyright and plagiarism are specific. You can copyright an image, NOT a pose. For instance, in the image of the couple making love, it is a very SIMILAR pose, but there are enough differences that a court would easily rule in her favor. Same with the other ones ( ... )

It's disgusting either way. Just because something is not illegal does not mean it isnt unethical. And at least in the US, paraphrasing is considered plagiarism too (though I personally believe Kayono's offenses are more akin to 'word for word' plagiarism - how can you look at all the comparisons and NOT call that plagiarism?).

only knew about this when me n my frd talked abt kazusa sensei...

wow, this is just outrageous. makes me so mad (esp about the genre) i'd totally argue against that with the judge =.= and who is the mom, how is she so powerful to ask the company to ban kazusa??? i just googled her up, dunno her at all nor her works, just a total BABAA... oh, and then i saw kayono's profile http://www.mangaupdates.com/authors.html?id=457

it says she does some yaoi under another name... 'doesnt read yaoi' MY ASS.

P.S. why did takashima-sensei become kayashima later in ur entry...? -w-;
