i saw someone who made bacon & egg sushi awhile back on one of my foodie communities, and it not only sounded delicious but seemed like something i could actually make myself. i've heard making sushi isn't that hard, but i think the mad fish slicing skills and presentation that go with sushi (and well, just having fish that fresh) have made it seem ( Read more... )

i bought purple jasmine rice when i went to whole foods this weekend (i luurrrve chinese black "forbidden" rice, so i had high hopes for this ^_^) - also, since it's short grain rice, i contemplated making pretty purple onigiri!
