I'm supposed to meet Jim's mom. And I realize that, being engaged, I should have probably done it a long time ago. But it's just now that we're having this whole weekend soon where my mom and dad are driving the two hours from Wilkes-Barre to Scranton to meet Jim's parents.
And it's going to be this whole Meet The Parents thing - except without disaster.

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be nervous, but I am a little. And not. Both? Yeah. Not about the wedding. Just meeting Jim's awesome parents. I keep hearing these really great things about all the Halperts and I got even more evidence when Jim's sister, Jenny, came to work here.
My mom was pretty overjoyed when she heard the news. I mean, it's the second time around for her, and me, and she definitely liked Roy, but I think she really likes Jim. I think she gets Jim a little more. He makes her laugh every time she sees him and not in some sort of laughing at Jim thing, but more like laughing with Jim. Anyway, she knows that I love him. That I have for a while and that he's my best friend in the whole wide world.
I don't have a dress or anything yet. Only because I'm sort of manic in this way that means that this wedding has to be completely and utterly different than the one I planned so much for myself and Roy. Besides, Phyllis really did have my first wedding for me. And, you know, I'm marrying Jim and that really has to be special and individual all in itself.
It's kind of sad that I'm thinking of asking Angela to help with the planning, right? But then she'd probably consider herself to be close enough to be a bridesmaid. I'm asking Jenny to be my bridesmaid though. Yeah, but I haven't talked to her about that yet.
I'm pretty sure Michael, my boss, wants to give me away and possibly have a paper theme to my wedding or a Dunder-Mifflin theme to my wedding, but that's why I'm doing absolutely no planning at the office this time around.
Yeah, I'm playing just a lot of Solitaire in my spare time.
