Pretty pleased yesterday to hop on the scales and find my weight unchanged from the Monday before Christmas. It's like my body decided to cut me some slack over the holidays - "so you want Doritos and dip for dinner? Go for it. Ice cream every night? Heh why not. Alcohol? Bring it on." Things have been quite hectic at Chez M over the last week. Work has been frantic, to the point that we had overtime on two nights last week, so I was really surprised to be asked if I'd like to take this week off work. We're decorating our office space at work, and have been asked to bring in photos that have a Christmas theme for display. Out came all the photo albums tonight and I've had a blast going through them all. I have a lot of photo albums - mine, my mother's and some of my father's so it was a big job. Shortie pyjamas and chenille bedspreads... this was my childhood, and this was my Christmas experience. I got a bit nostalgic watching this, I must admit. (Although the first little bit had me side-eyeing like crazy!)

My niece's birthday is tomorrow and to celebrate we went to a paleo cafe in Paddington for lunch. No gluten, no dairy, just really tasty food freshly-made. Most meals came with a side order of sweet potato chips with lemon aioli which is just delicious but to my regret I couldn't get through them all. It's 1.33am on Sunday and I'm functioning on four hours' sleep from last night.
