I planted my new palms today, after re-digging the holes my neighbour so thoughtfully filled in. I had the sprinkler on the spot for half an hour last night, making sure that the ground stayed moist and easy to dig, and then we had rain overnight and this morning as well so it was lovely and damp. I promised I'd help my sister with the filling-in of a hole left after the removal of a swimming pool from her investment property. It meant shovelling and barrowing soil from the front of the property around to the back. Getting my hair cut is one of those chores that I put off for as long as possible - I hate having to decide on a style, and I'm never happy when I walk out of the hairdressers'. Talk about annoying - I arrived at the optometrist's on Friday only to find that my Medicare card had expired last Decemeber, which meant I'd either have to pay for the appointment or reschedule.
