... I'm not dead, nor have I abandoned this journal for ever.
I know, it's been a while since I last posted anything here. In fact, it's been so long that I'm amazed I still know how to use an lj-cut and all that. Who would have thought?
For what it's worth, work is keeping me very busy at the moment. I'm also still suffering from RSI in my right arm, which makes photo-editing a rather undesirable pursuit at present. I haven't forgotten about photography, though. Quite the contrary. I have by now taken my first pictures with my new Nikon D300. It took me two months to get around to it -- two months during which I was frequently astonished at myself for having such a marvellous camera and leaving it in its box unused -- but honestly, I'll find good use for my new toy over the next few months. I've also bought a stack of photography magazines featuring helpful tips on DSLR photography and Photoshop, so once I've finished my text-editing job and returned from my much-needed holiday, I'll have lots of photo-editing tricks to try my hand at. I'm already looking forward to it.
I hope to post some digital pictures soon, but for now, here are some film pictures I took in Rome last year. Enjoy!
