I received a bank statement through the post today. That's not particularly unusual. What was a bit puzzling though was the fact that the phrase 'Pat 14' was written on the back of the envelope in biro. Who would write such a thing? Especially since my name is not Pat. Nor am I 14.
The only logical explanation I can come up with is that the bank are having a promotion in which one lucky account-holder will win a huge and substantial cash prize if they have the phrase 'Pat 14' written on the back of their statement's envelope in biro. Perhaps the successful recipient will have to pat 14 people on the head in order to be eligible for the prize. So maybe I'll go out and to that tomorrow.
As you may be able to tell, I'm spouting a load of nonsense today, mainly because I'm tired and would much rather be sleeping right now. Thankfully, now that I've seen Carrie win a fiver on today's Deal or No Deal, I can do just that.
