President Bush just proposed drastic cuts to NPR and PBS. MoveOn has helped stop similar cuts in the past, but enough is enough: With the new Congress, we can make sure this never happens again.

Okay, I want to talk about Ireland.
Specifically, I want to talk about the Famine.
About the fact that there never really was one.
There was no famine.
See, the Irish were only allowed to eat potatoes;
All of the other foods -- meat, fish, vegetables --
Were shipped out of the country under armed guard
To England, while the Irish people starved.
