No doubt this will be a repost for a lot of you. Here's my "personal message" to Congress:
It cannot be possible that the money "saved" by dismantling our national public media systems outweighs the terrible cost we pay. Not only do they provide free public education for pre-kindergarten-age children through post-graduate adults, but they also serve as the backbone for a number of our public emergency systems. Crippling such a system can only be motivated by greed in its extremity, or worse, by malice toward an American public that is well-educated, well-informed, and capable of critical thinking.
