Stéphane Lambiel is the BEST. Suck it, Joe Jonas.
So I stumbled upon a little treasure trove of videos and went through the trouble of downloading a Real player to watch something just because it had the words "Stéphane" and "Family" in the title.
Suffice to say, I REGRET NOTHING.
What followed was a glimpse into why Stéphane's mother may well have divorced his dad, video of Stéphane in Portugal (finally!), and EVEN MORE OF MY FAVORITE THING IN THE WORLD, which is Stéphane's giant dad being a really, really good dad.
Please forgive me for the awful quality but I suck, and the vids weren't ace quality to begin with alas. But. I just. I HAD to share.
I reiterate that when I was 12 Stéphane would have been everything I wanted in this world. Right down to the adorably awkward ears.:
This is not actually Stéphane's Oma but some other old Portuguese lady. I goofed the screen caps of his real Oma and I'm too tired to fix it. Suffice to say, she's ADORABLE. And so is he!:
ALSO, LOOK AT HIM FROLICKING IN THE OCEAN! COULD YOU NOT DIE?:

Also it has now come to my attention that Sexy Papa Lambiel may not deserve this moniker. Previously he was "questionably photogenic" Papa Lambiel after a hilariously unflattering picture of him with the whole family. But after seeing this video he became, "OH GOD WHY PAPA LAMBIEL?"
(Seriously, I think these photos alone would have won her a divorce in any court on Earth. Although tada, this is where Stephane gets his glorious hair from!)
So yes, Sexy Papa Lambiel is really just sort of Crazy Papa Lambiel. Awesome, but unpredictable.
But then.
Oh then.
He decided to win me back by being the most adorable huge and gruff daddy a Stéphane could ever ask for. This is Stéphane arriving in Geneva after winning Worlds in 2005. He is in the middle of a crowd of about 75 people, fans, officials, cameras, and friends:
He's been greeted by various dignitaries, posed for photos and then, what's this? It's his daddy:
Then all cute breaks loose. LOOK AT THIS! Are your hearts made of steel?:
LOOK AT HOW BIG HIS DAD IS COMPARED TO HIM! He ENGULFS wee!Stéphane! I'm dying! Dying!:
After they hug, Papa Lambiel moves back but is the affection over?:
No! His nancy boy figure skating son is the BEST nancy boy figure skater in the world! It is time for a big kiss on the cheek!:
(Stéphane's eyes totally clench when his father kisses his cheek. And then I actualfax died.)
