A week to go before I'm home, and my thoughts, when they aren't occupied with fretting over the final paper I hafve to turn in right before leaving(very strong sense of deja vu from my sophmore year), and I have made a somewhat disturbing discovery. Two movies which were supposed to be terrible have turned out to be good!
Seriously, all that ranting and scorning on Pride and Prejudice I heard, followed by an 87% Tomatometer rating? Of course, I imagine the people who were doing the ranting are still indignant; they're probably the people who couldn't stand Rozema's Mansfield Park either. But even so, I didn't even have such high hopes for this movie as a movie.
Not that I mind at all, because I would have had to see P&P regardless of its quality. But I would have happily skipped Chicken Little. Especially after having to sit through so many excrutiating trailers. But apprently it's a good movie too? What the? Now I'm going to have to try to squeeze it into a week where I also have to study for the GREs, hunt down all my old music from the last two and a half years, and I really do want to rent the RotS DVD at some point.
