whew
well, kids, things are looking up. the cough is better. not gone, but not crazy anymore. my rib still hurts, so i'm pretty sure i did fracture it. when i see the doctor again next week i will be asking her what the hell is wrong with me. i will report back. i discovered that three is the magic number of motrin it takes to dull the pain, however, so that's good. i'm going to see the hold steady tomorrow. hopefully it will not kill me.
obviously the big news is our new president elect. man, park slope was wicked excited on tuesday night. there were roving bands of happy people in the streets. we had a lovely time at maggie and kyle's what with the cheesepocalypse and pie. and the winning. the only way it could have been better is if gay marriage hadn't be shot down everywhere. that was highly upsetting. az, i know you can do better!
anyway, one of my coworkers is having a potluck on monday and i said i'd bring a side dish. any ideas?
