I don’t think I’ve ever read a book in an American accent before. It’s not every day when a story tugs me so hard through the pages that I can’t help but follow. Occasionally a novel will make me feel wordier, in need of a different tone of voice when I put pen (or finger) to paper (keyboard) and this is certainly one of those occasions.
