HOLYSHITHARRYPOTTERLAND!!
I refuse to call it anything but Harry Potter Land, you all can judge me however you want. I'm going tomorrow, and then frolicking about Florida for about a week with my mother, two little siblings, grandmother, and step father. I plan on having fun and being derpy with my little brother and sister. And taking lots of pictures.
I'm so excited. I am so excited for this. I can't articulate what kind of experience this will be for me. I'm a fan of both the books and the movies, and I still have just enough of my child-like wonder intact to forget that it's a theme park, look past the massive crowds of people, and realize that I'm /standing in mother fucking Hogwarts./ I can't wait! And I anticipate that seeing the last movie will be all that much more intense for me. Seeing that great castle being destroyed by Death Eaters after I've been there, kind of? Holy balls, I'll be bawling my eyes out. And best believe I'll be walking away with Harry Potter swag. At the very least, I want a Ravenclaw scarf and my own wand. I don't know if I'll have enough money for souvenirs, though. It makes me sad because I know scores of people who would want stuff. I hope I'm forgiven for being selfish on this vacation! I'm so glad that I'm going. I feel so unbelievably lucky. Basically, EEEE I GET TO GO TO HARRY POTTER LAND EEEE SO MUCH HAPPY!!
The rest of the summer has been going kind of great for me, too. I spent a little over a week over at my cousin's house, and despite being worked to the bone by my aunt, I had a lot of fun. My aunt works as a cleaning lady, cleaning up apartments and houses. That shit is not easy, it is tedious and hard. But I did get paid for my troubles(the money will be used to pay for my passage to Jersey this winter), and working with someone you love can be a lot of fun. And, if my schemes play out as planned, I could be moving in with my cousin in an apartment in Midtown at a discounted price nest summer. I can't think of better living arrangements, and I really hope everything works out. Also, I'm several steps closer to my driver's license. My first driving lesson was alright.
