You know, I kind of understand now why pundits like Bill O'Reilly and his ilk have been able to gain so much popularity: because when something happens that really really pisses you off, and there's nothing you can do to rectify the situation? Hearing an articulate and angry person yell about it for a couple minutes can be very, very therapeutic

Months ago, a small group of people in my hometown got together to put together a memorial for now 3000 troops who've died in Iraq. The memorial consists of thousands of white wooden crosses arranged on a hillside that's prominent and visible from the freeway, with a banner keeping count of the number of dead. Some local families have 'adopted'
