Y'know, I remember how much job-hunting sucks but, frankly, I had forgotten just HOW much it sucks!
Okay, so I managed to obtain a job. It was nothing special. Part-time and very low-wage. No skills. Heck, the "application" was nothing more than faxing an example of my handwriting. But I had hoped it would last at least until I found something better. (Not that it would take all that much to be better!)
I worked for all of two days, a grand total of six hours and fifteen minutes. And then they tell me that they think they really don't need this many people. And they let me go.
Bah!
So now the hunt continues.
What am I looking for, you ask? Heck, at this point, just about anything! Due to transportation, hopefully something close (I'm in Euless). And while I know that there are many jobs for on-phone customer service and the like, after doing that sort of work for about 11 years with four different companies I simply cannot do phone work again.
So this is a general plea if anyone knows of any place that is hiring. Probably entry level stuff, possible on-job training or the like.
