Just One Damn Thing After Another.

The minivan needed repair which was done last month at a cost of just over $1,100. Now the battery light is on! According the the Owner's Manual, should the light come on while driving, it means that "the alternator is not recharging the battery and you should have the electrical system checked as soon as possible. ARRRGH!!!

'Ok,' I thought, 'The light is on but in a sort of flickering way…maybe the terminals simply have corrosion.' So I wiped down the terminals. Battery light went off. Good. Drove to Candy's on Thursday. On the way back, the light came on again. NUTS! Wiped them down again Friday morning. Light went off. Driving my sister to work on Friday morning, the light came on again. GRRR! At her work, I wiped them again.

The light remained on. *snarl*

Got home and this time I took some tools and removed the connections from the battery terminals. Wiped down the terminals as well as the insides of the connectors. That should do it. Started the car.

The battery light shone steadily. No hint of flickering now.

Great. Just…bloody…great. I'm trying to get a JOB! And this minivan needs something else now. Y'know, there are times when I wish we still used horses…
