Today is a bad day at work.   I have to say goodbye to a lot of really wonderful people...people that I respect and will miss greatly.

I really hate goodbyes.  I am aboslutely terrible at them.

Some people know the right thing to say.  I am awkward and upset and I just can't formulate the words that express my discontent.

I am still employed!

I meant to post this earlier, but I was delinquint....

Oracle did offer me a position as part of the acquisition.  I got my offer letter on Friday afternoon.  I will be making roughly the same money, though I was switched from salary to hourly.  They may regret that decision as I always work more than 40 hours.  I don't know much ( Read more... )

So today was the official Change-In-Control which means that Oracle's acquisition of BEA has been approved by all regulatory agencies and has been finalized.  This just happened and the transition time will likely take several weeks.  So there are very few answers to about a million questions ( Read more... )

I have no idea what this is going to do to my work situation, but BEA just accepted an offer by Oracle.

Of course, it still has to be approved by the regulatory agencies and such. For now, I am going to pretend that nothing has happened as it is very important that I finish some projects.  But this may create more chaos and more work....I shall just ( Read more... )
