The End of a Three-Year Journey

Quote of the day:

Jenny: "My grandfather is against any sort of organised religion."
Missionary: "You should tell him that we're not organised at all."

Heh.

I'm up early, because I can't sleep. It's my graduation today and I guess I'm more excited about it than I thought. Right now it feels pretty weird to think about it.
...Dear goodness. I'm graduating from university today. Holy crap.

The ceremony itself will probably be pretty boring, but at least I get to wear a silly hat and a robe. Once it's finished I'm going to a big graduation dinner, then I'm going downtown with Jenny to take pictures of me in my ceremonial outfit.
On Saturday I'm holding a graduation party. Jenny asked if I wanted a theme party, and I found it appropriate to have a literature theme. We're all going to dress up like characters from books. I'll be Viola from Twelfth Night, Seb is going to be a hobbit and Lucy will be Tinkerbell. Jenny is considering being the Cat in the Hat. We're also going to make non-alcoholic cocktails.

On a less pleasant note, UPS managed to lose one of the parcels I was sending to Finland. With Mika's help I've discovered which one is missing. Luckily it was a box full of books, which should be easier to replace than most of my other things. I've also made a list of the lost books. I'm sad about the loss, as many of these books were presents from friends and family members. But there's no use crying over spilled milk. The company will reimbuirse me, so I can replace the books, and that should be good enough for me.

And now I think it's time for breakfast.
