Suicide Note
Chapter Five (Part II)
Abuse
Sharon felt her heart skip a beat and she froze up.
She just stared at her, unable to speak or move.
“Did you have fun last night?” Laura asked. “Amanda can be quite accommodating if you allow her.” She walked over to Sharon and hugged her tightly.
Sharon felt Laura's warm amber hair brush up against her face and inhaled its sweet fragrance of peaches and coconut-she always used the most sweet smelling shampoos. She tensed up as Laura ran her hands along her back.
“I thought I had lost you,” Laura whispered. “Before we even had a chance to get to know each other. I thought that all I would have would be bitter memories.” She let go and looked at Sharon. There was the slightest hint of tears in her eyes, which she blinked away.
“I...”
“Let's go,” Laura said, taking Sharon by the hand and dragging her away from the lecture hall.
“Where?” Sharon stumbled after her, it was as if she couldn't find tell what foot to put forward.
“Anywhere. Town, your dorm, home... Just not here. Somewhere we can be alone.”
“Laura, stop,” Sharon whispered as Laura started to walk faster.
“Come on,” Laura implored.
“No,” Sharon said, snatching her hand away. “I said stop.” She rubbed her eyes, trying to stop the tears, wondering if anyone was watching them in this intimate spectacle.
Yet as Sharon looked around no one was paying them any mind.
They stood under a pear that had flourished with delicate green leaves after the last rainstorm and sudden blast of warmth. The tree quivered and shook as the wind started to blow and pulled on the hem of Laura's skirt.
“Sharon,” Laura said as she walked up to her and took her face in her hands.
“What kind of game are you playing with me?” Sharon asked, her face burning.
Laura took a deep breath. “I'm not playing any games, lovely.” She parted the strands of hair from Sharon's face, caressing her cheeks and forehead. “I don't recall twisting your arm and forcing you to fuck my girlfriend last night.”
Sharon felt ill. Laura was so calm, did any of this matter to her? Was she even capable of loving someone, considering how she acted towards Amanda...
“What's wrong?” Laura cooed as she leaned in, the golden flecks of light playing on her face and on her hair. She smiled, brushing her lips against Sharon's cheek and whispered in her ear. “She made you feel like a woman for the first time in your life?”
Sharon's fingers were tingling as she gasped her breaths. What was Laura doing? Was she hurt, jealous?
“I'm just sorry that I couldn't have been there,” Laura said, wrapping her arms around Sharon. “I would have loved to see you cum for the first time.”
In a heartbeat they became the only two people in the world.
The sun shone brightly on them, the wind drowned out all the sounds around them with the rustling of the leaves. Laura's soft body in her arms melted away the anxiety and fear. The people walking by were like ghosts, they could have passed right through them and she wouldn't have cared.
Laura was like the perfect distillation of infatuation and sensuality. Every touch was heavenly, from how she ran her hands along her back down to her hips, to how she used the most gentle pressure to drive her wild. Sharon began to forget everything but the moment, what had happened the night before, her worry, her time with Amanda, until all she could think about was this woman holding her in her arms.
“I wanted you to realize what it's like with a real woman... not some little girl who's not good for anything more than a cheap fuck,” Laura whispered. “Am I a bad person for that?”
The words echoed in Sharon's mind, but so faintly she could barely understand what Laura had just said.
“If we're to be lovers, it'd only be fair I'd let you play with my toys,” Laura said. “Now kiss me.”
“Here?” Sharon asked as she opened her eyes to see Laura's beautiful face in front of her. Her skin was glowing in the light.
“Of course,” Laura said, pressing her lips against Sharon's.
For the second time Sharon found herself a victim of her infatuation as she could feel a warmth flowing into her. Laura slipped her tongue into her mouth and tightly wrapped her arms around her waist. Laura's scent, the sweet musky fragrance like sandalwood that hid under her perfumes, filled Sharon's nostrils as she breathed deeply, feeling herself floating above the ground.
Laura drew back, gasping for breath. Sweat shimmered on her forehead as she put her finger to Sharon's lips.
“Will you let me fall in love with you?”
Sharon just nodded, listening to the pounding of her heart in her ears.
“Let me hear it,” Laura said, playing with Sharon's hair.
“I want to love you,” Sharon whispered.
“Why?” Laura asked, a vacant look in her eyes as she stared off into the distance.
“I don't know,” Sharon said. “My mind and my life has been a mess since we met. If I had any sense I should get the hell away from you-as far as I can. But there is something about you that draws me in... As if we belong together.”
Laura laughed softly. “You're adorable,” she said.
