Anya - Week Eight

Aug 15, 2011 18:55

Well, this week has been pretty calm.  We went out shopping, but that was about it.  We've been hanging out at home a bit.  We had some visitors last week for a little bit.

Anya's been working on her pushups.  She's done pretty well with keeping her head up, but doesn't do it for very long.  She also has been doing a lot more smiling and cooing.  She's come up with some funny sounds and she comes up with new ones every day.  I've noticed that she's not wanted the paci nearly as much as she used to.  I find that a good omen for the weaning process later.

Update on the poop: she's definitely come down a bunch on the poop output.  So, it might be that I cut out a lot of dairy or it might be that she just grew out of it.  I can start gradually adding it back in next week or something.  I don't know.  Nursing is starting to get shorter and shorter.  I think she's down to 8 minutes per side now.  Some sessions are easier than others, but for the most part, it is becoming smoother and smoother.

So, this week, I figured we'd try to go out and get some professional pictures, but none of her nice clothes fit.  She's either too big or too small.  I even went to Target to look for an outfit, but they have nothing "nice" for her size.  So weird.  I'll see what I can find this week (or just wait until she's a little bigger).  Maybe I'll stop at Kohl's sometime.
