I hate this day. I mean, what kind of country makes a holiday out of being a jerk? >_>
this is hilarious though. to me anyway. Someone posted a link to a news article on the Adam Lambert comm and they put the title of the article in huge bold letters for the link. my heart actually dropped for about half a second before I took a breath and went ok, it's April Fool's Day. bastards.
I love the fact that the media pays enough attention to him & thinks enough of his popularity that he's the focus of an American Idol April Fools joke... it basically shows that he's what people care about with this show. cause really, why else would you watch it? XD & the article is freakin hilarious, it was really well thought out, and the whole point is that he's been disqualified for being too good for the show. which he is. it's just not even fair anymore, not that it ever was... the rest of them can barely sing in key half the time & then here comes Adam being the best thing to happen to American music since... umm... ok, no, David Bowie is British... eh, so was Freddie Mercury... uh... anyway.
^_^ copied for the sake of nostalgia... there are just too many awesome quotes from this that I can't even say which are my favorite parts...
Adam Lambert Disqualified From American Idol
Yes, we're shocked too. But we have it exclusively from a source on the American Idol production staff that the announcement will be made tonight on the live results show. In fact it will happen even before Ryan Seacrest announces “This is American Idol.”
Our source, who insists on remaining anonymous so he can lie to his boss about telling us and thus avoid having to go home to England, told us the entire segment has been pre-scripted.
All the theme music and hoopla of the traditional Idol opening will be delayed and the show will start with Ryan walking out to center stage with the nine remaining contestants behind him. The audience will have been told not to applaud and be prepared for a dramatic and major announcement.
With the spotlight capturing Ryan he will ask Adam to step up beside him. No doubt Adam will be surprised and the other Idols restless. They may be wondering if Adam is just going to be declared the winner and the contest be declared over right then, but that is not to be.
Ryan will turn to Adam, put a hand on his shoulder and say, “Adam, I'm sorry to say your American Idol journey is over right now. You have been disqualified!"
It will be the gasp heard round the world. Water coolers will run dry. The G-20 will be postponed.
When this happens watch Danny Gokey and you may get a glimpse of Danny pumping his fist and saying “Oh Yeah!”
While Adam struggles to comprehend what is going on Ryan will ask Simon to explain.....
Simon reading off a teleprompter implanted in Paula's forehead will say, “I don't mean to be rude, but the simple fact is you're too good for this show. You are making everybody else look really bad.” To which Randy will interrupt with “Yeah dawg, they are really sucking, can't have that my man.” Paula will of course be crying.
Simon will continue saying “In some ways this is our fault, and by our fault I really mean everybody's fault but mine, because when we put you through we simply had no idea how bloody talented you are.”
Randy will interrupt with “Man you are awesomely talented and that just won't do.”
Paula will bawl hysterically, blow her nose, and then pull a sign out from under the desk and hold it up for Adam to read. It will say “Stalk Me, PLEASE!”
During all this Kara will mumble “The artistry, the artistry.” This may be cut from the west coast version of the show because she does not have enough seniority to participate and nobody cares what she has to say anyway.
Adam will then be escorted off the stage by two dozen agents and record company executives. Mike Fliess will be seen lurking back stage because he wants Adam to be the next Bachelor. Tomorrow, Octo-Mom will appear on The Murray Povich show to declare that Adam is really her son.
The theme music will start and Ryan will look in the camera and say “This is April Fool's Day!”

glambert for the effin' win!
