Next, I headed north to the Otorohanga Kiwi House & Native Bird Park. I just missed the kiwi feeding. The kiwi are nocturnal so they have a few kiwi houses where you can go view them in the dark. So after a grueling week fighting equipment and trying to avoid gales at sea, we returned to port the day before yesterday. We had hoped to go back out, but that was not to be. Everyday, N subjects us to the "joke of the day". These are generally quite dreadful. Sometimes I can't even be bothered to groan and his joke merely elicits a roll of the eyes. This one is from his daughter, and is the funniest thing I've ever received from the boss.
