Woot, I'm going to double post after a long absence! (g) As usual, I've just been too tired to post. A lot of times, I've just been too tired to even turn on my computer, seriously. Most of this has been due to work - summer reading was the usual short-handed insanity, and it hasn't slacked off that much now that school's back in session. I've ( Read more... )

Firefox has been so hateful to me lately, and I have absolutely no idea why. Crashing, freezing, just generally...failing on every sort of level that it never failed at before.

What version of Firefox are you running? Have you made sure that any plugins/add-ons are also updated? Is it consistently crashing on the same things? Have you tried a new profile ( ... )

LOL for you, since it isn't like you didn't know where I was or why I would be so tired, since you know quite well where I work. Heck, you even knew I was on vacation and where I was going and could even know when I was going to be back at work since you should have our schedule in your work mail. (g)

Always nice to see posts from you!

We now have MS Office 2010 at work and yeah, the ribbon is a nuisance. I've been using OO.o at home for years now and still love it. (For one thing, my main OS at home is Ubuntu - so no MS Office! Yay!)

A trial version of Office 2007 came installed on all three of the computers that we got for Christmas. I hated the Ribbon so much that I didn't even bother looking for a pirated serial number, and instead put OO.o on Mom's and my computers (my sister doesn't really need it, but Mom and I do for looking at work files at home). I like the standard UI, and the fact that you don't have to be online to access stuff like help files. Granted, for most stuff, I'll still use WordPerfect 8 - yeah, it is old, so I need OO.o for newer Office files, but Reveal Codes in WP is the greatest feature even in an office program, and if I had the money I would be willing to pay for the most recent version (I bought 8 with an employee discount as a gift for my mom, back when I was supporting it, and I actually still have 5.1 DOS through 7 as well from those days ( ... )
