Two things:
1) It has been so damp in our house that I discovered mold and mushrooms growing in one of our house plants shortly before we left for Wellington. Ew ew EW. Also, it has been so cold that our supply of olive oil actually SOLIDIFIED while we were away. Our house is a refrigerator. So, today I am going to call about getting a heat pump installed. This shit ain't right.
2) After a bit more discussion of our impending trip home to the States at the end of the year, part of the plan is that we'll be hanging out in New York City for a full week around New Year's. Our dear friend Goldman is in for this as well, so we're thinking it would be sweet if we could rent an apartment together for a week. Does anyone know if this is possible? We would prefer if it weren't some fancy place where executives stay, but rather something more... normal (though obviously furnished). Suggestions or alternate solutions would be mighty helpful.
