(no subject)
well, this has been a busy week, which is weird. a lot has happened.
things that occurred include:
* my last day of work
* going crabbing on a boat and catching lots of crabbies
* cracking and picking twelve freaking crabs until my thumbs were raw
* discovering that the reason our house leaks is that they BURIED A FREAKING WINDOW without covering it, and also that they buried untreated wood which is now rotting and will have to be replaced. grrr.
* the birth of our friends' baby, sean patrick!
* almost getting a job as a bio lab teacher (until they decided to not call me back, after being all "oh yay, we really want to talk to you, we need someone right away and you sound perfect!" jerks)
* getting a cute short haircut. i'll post photos eventually.
* learning that my brother-in-law finally proposed to his girlfriend, YAY!
* driving to portland
* cutting about 30 pounds of potatoes and 150 slices of apple strudel
* dressing up in a dirndl
* seeing most of our portland-area friends, including my brother and his girlfriend, whom i had never met before.
* going to see eli's new house
* my grandpa died. seriously, what is it with men in my family and the first week of october? sigh.
