hm, it's been a while since i posted.
what's new in kristinland? well...
* i found out my job is extended until the 24th, so yay, another month of paychecks!
* we decided to sacrifice christmas in cabo in order to go to maui in february with my mom! i have never been to hawaii, i am very excited (and already planning things, i am so dorky about vacation research and planning)! SNORKELING!! KAYAKING!!
* the boy went crabbing and fishing the past 2 weekends, catching 12 crabs and a salmon (it was a wild native, so he had to let it go, but we're getting a piece of the hatchery fish his buddy caught).
* we went to a lovely wedding (hooray for brandy and evan!)
* 2 of our friends are buying houses, and one just got her own studio, all of which are exciting!
* i broke the record for attendance at an evening program with 82 people coming to my last mountain lion talk (technically the night before there were 90-some people in attendance, but that was a bunch of fiddlers, not a talk, so i still win)
*speaking of evening programs, i did my new one on seals and sea lions last weekend, and people seemed really into it.
* there were 2 accidents in/near the park in the past week, one of which was a drunk driver who drove right off the elevated road. he wasn't hurt, of course, the bastard, and was so drunk he couldn't remember the ABCs. hey f-list? don't EVER drink and drive or let anyone you know do it. it pisses me off so much- it's like shooting a gun off into a crowd, and there is never an excuse for it. despicable!
* no less than SIX animals were in/alongside the road last night on my commute home. 2 deer on the side of the road, 2 deer running across the road, one porcupine sitting in my lane (it put up his quills and ran when i honked at it) and a cat that glared at me as i attempted to turn in to my driveway.
