(OOM: The world changes.There was so much to be done but it was agreed that a small rest would make sense. Not a full night's sleep but some time in a proper bed. Sam's leg was hurting again as he opened the door to his room in the Abhorsen's House and found Milliways staring back at him

Teja comes in from the back, with his guitar and two cats.

He sits by the fire, then realises that the young man in the colourful surcoat is...

"Sameth?"

He looks up at Teja and says quietly, "I found a door."

[ostro_goth]

"I noticed you were gone," Teja says. "And now you are back -- so you must have, coming and going. Have you come from the court?"

He nods at the surcoat. It looks formal.

[makesthings]

"No, from the Abhorsen's House. A lot has happened since I left and more after that. I have to help save the Old Kingdom and I'm now Wallmaker,"

Its formal and feels far too new. Sam's used to either his royal surcoat or the one he got for his birthday, he's worn those. He doesn't know who he should be as he wears this one.

[is_a_ghost]

There is a figure in all white, and all white himself, sitting in one of the chairs by the fire with a book in his lap, and a series of colored ribbons with silver charms at the ends that he's placing in between different pages.

When he looks up and sees Sameth staring into the fireplace as if he's a little lost, he clears his throat softly, reaching out to touch the other young man's shoulder. "Are you alright?"

Sameth jumps and reaches for his belt but his sword broke when he fought Chlorr and he looks up in surprise at Silas,

"Don't do that. What if I'd been armed?"

"You aren't," he says, not liking to dwell on what if. It usually only leads to thoughts he'd rather not have.

"Forgive me if I startled you." Yes, he's very alive, Silas is, and very human it would seem; there's a black brace immobilizing one of his wrists, and a thin fading scar from where stitches used to be below the corner of his mouth. "You seemed troubled."

"Not at the moment. Sorry, I've had some long days and I don't think that's going to change for a while. What happened to you?"

He manages a smile and offers his hand to Silas.

[mogget_cat]

There is a Bright Shiner and former servant of the Abhorsen line grinning at the surcoat-wearing Wallmaker from over by the bar.

Sam looks up from the fire and notices the feel of Free Magic and looks over to find Mogget.

He stands up and says with a frown, he's tired of Mogget knowing things, "What has you so happy? No one's stopped yet."

[mogget_cat]

"Oh, I am just thinking that this," he gestures to the new surcoat, "is a much better color for you than blue ever was."

Because yeah, he knows things. And knew things. And will know things some more before things are done.

"You could have given me some hint,"

He's spent months and years feeling like a failure and this is a new start but also has new troubles connected to it.
