"Think I was told 'bout those once from some wizard friends. Only five?"
His sword is upstairs for the moment but otherwise he's in the classic Lincoln green of a man of Sherwood.

"Any five," she adds, pushing the bowl towards him slightly.

Then he contemplates them and eats the white one first and makes a face, "That was somethin' burnt,"
The next ones are all eaten in a rush and he only gags once more for the red one.
Reply
"Well done," she says.
Two out of five. Not bad.
"What can I get you?"

For that matter, he seems to pay no attention to the bartender, either.
But he is intrigued by the bowl of colorful beans.
Castiel fishes one of the beans out of the bowl--yellowish tan with flecks of pink--and studies it with great interest.

"There are many variations?" he asks.
There are certainly plenty of colors.
Castiel fishes out a bright blue bean. And a pink one. And a black one. And a yellowish-green one. He studies each one individually, as if they are jewels.
"Why must you guess?"
Reply
"But that's part of the fun."

It be more grimace than mock though.
"Beans?" Not that anyone in District 12 was all that picky.

"In the Muggle world, they tend to stick to sweet flavors, but Bertie Bott's are wizarding candies, and they can be just about anything.
"I'm pretty sure the last one I ate was turnip.
"How are you, Peeta?"
Reply
Except he is at least looking at the jar now.
But he glanced up. "I'm good."
Today has been good. "You?"
Reply
She shrugs a little.
"I think it's meant to be fun, the mystery of what you could be getting.
"Even if occasionally it means you get turnip candy."

He sits in his mother's lap, grey eyes and dark, curly hair peeking over the top of the bar as little fingers reach for the bowl. Mia stops him before he can take any or upset the bowl.
"Oh, I love Every-Flavour Beans," Mia says with some excitement. "I would crave certain flavors of them when I was expecting him. And it was about the only way I could sneak some of my cravings by my husband."
Who still had to deal with her cravings for garlic-seasoned grog loaf sandwiches.
She picks through the bowl and chooses dark purple, dark brown, a lighter brown, pink, and orange.
"Can I do it twice and get a free drink for him as well? I don't think Cepheus can handle chewing well enough for me to let him have any."
"Mamaaaa," the baby whines at not being allowed the sweets.
Reply
That doesn't seem quite fair, somehow.
"I bet we could find him something else," she says, instead.
"What does he like?"
Reply
She smiles at Lily's consideration before popping the purple bean into her mouth.
"Just what I was hoping for," she comments. "Eggplant."
"Egg-pant?" Cepheus parrots back curiously. "Egg-pant?"
"You'll be able to have all the eggplant you want when you're bigger, sweetie. You're getting a little chocolate treat for now."
"Tee now?" the baby asks this time.
Mia just smiles, resisting the urge to excessively coo at Cepheus. Somehow, the inquisitive tone he puts on nearly everything he says is just the cutest possible thing.

Lily rummages around behind the bar and comes up with three foil-wrapped chocolate kisses.
"Will these work?" she asks.
