(OOM: A change of scenery can be nice. Of course, it can also lead to a... Deeper change of scenery.)

The door opens and a massive bipedal... Being walks into Milliways, stopping short as the door slams shut behind him. Okay, this is -not- the garage deck of the Normandy. Faster than one would expect from a being that must weigh well over a ton in ( Read more... )

Wrex, there's a startled-looking older salarian at a nearby table, and he's just- somewhat reluctantly- gotten up to see what's going on.

Wrex's massive wedge-shaped head pivots towards the movement, the firearm following smoothly.

"You, there. The Salarian. What in the Void is this place? And where?" He still sounds pretty calm. He doesn't need to -sound- threatening.

They've met in passing in Mordin's time. Probably not for long enough for Wrex to remember his name. Best not to take chances.

"Milliways," Mordin says as carefully as he can. You don't fuss around with a krogan with a gun like that. "Patrons call it 'the bar at the end of the universe'. Can't vouch for truth of that but will say multiple realities, multiple dimensions come together here. Located on large asteroid in unknown sector of space."

Wrex's upper lip curls, revealing large blunt teeth in what could be a silent snarl.

"Are you kidding me? A place like that existed, there would be half a dozen research teams and twice as many mercenary groups hovering around it." And he would have heard of it, sooner or later.

Well, look who's here!

"Wrex?"

Wrex will probably notice that Tali looks different. Or, well, her clothing does.

The clothes are different, but he recognizes the voice. It's the Quarian they just rescued from Saren's thugs. Head and shotgun swivel smoothly towards her. A new arrival can always be a traitor.

"What are you doing here?" He notices the different clothes. "And where did you keep a spare suit?" He's heard about the many pockets of the Quarian suits, but this is ridiculous.

Tali seems startled - and a bit hurt. "Wrex, why are you pointing a gun at me? What's the matter with..." Just then, she gets the implications of the 'spare suit' remark. Tali facepalms. Well, mask palms. "Oh, keelah. Sometimes I hate this place."

There's no threatening vibe at all coming from the Quarian, but still Wrex keeps the shotgun up. Maaaaaybe there's a smidgen less of an implicit threat of explosive violence in his posture, though.

"That puts you one step ahead of me, then. You know what this place is. Sure as the Void it wasn't in the Normandy's garage before."

Wrex will understand if at least one person reacts to his announcement by getting a table between the two of them, yes?

Look it isn't like the table would actually stop anything, but it makes misses more likely and that's good. If Wrex is going to shoot anyone that is.

The movements of the huge being are extremely quick and smooth for someone his size. The gun is levelled at the table.

"You, human. You're as good as any to start explaining."

"It's not my fault!" says the table. Or Ako, whichever.

"This is Milliways. Please don't shoot me?"

"If I shoot you, you can't explain. For example, -what- is Milliways?" The voice remains calm, matter-of-factly. It's unsettling the way he talks about shooting people like it's the most normal thing ever.

"That would be extremely inadvisable."

Illyria's tone is mild enough, for her, but she's got her own aura of violence around her all the same. She's got her Security badge pinned -- well, somehow affixed to her armor and is regarding the new arrival with some degree of interest.

"I know. I wouldn't refuse explanations to someone armed and obviously dangerous." There is a hint of humour in his tone, but he keeps the gun trained on the bluish woman. An Asari? She looks too human for that, despite the unusual coloration.
