Last night was...interesting, to say the least. Today seems to be the same, largely because he can't leave.

If anything, the coffee is delicious.

Not sufficient compensation for the missing door, though.

Byers came to Milliways today with the intention of dropping off Sarah's gift... and left it back at home.

After sufficient facepalming he decides to get some coffee before he heads back, since it's Christmas Eve and Frohike's cooking and Langly's grumpy because Jimmy won't stop singing Christmas carols and it's all very chaotic.

So, coffee.

He walks to the bar and orders himself a mug, accidentally kicking the man's chair on the way over.

Quickly: "Sorry."

Bond glances at Byers, shrugging. It's not a problem.

He gives the man a little smile before turning away to retrieve his mug, then suddenly turns back with a questioning expression.

"... I don't know you, do I?"

He has one of those faces.

"Do you know Simon Skinner?" he asks, with a (very) faint smirk.

So he's back again. Sarah had considered just leaving the papers with Bar (or a copy of such). But this suits much better.

"Here," she says as she storms up to him, shoving the documents in his hands. "Proof."

"Hello, Mrs. Bond," he says cheerfully, not yet looking at the papers.

Sarah quirks an eyebrow.

"Well, that's certainly a change in attitude from the other day."

[callitavesper]

"I had a good night's rest, an excellent cup of coffee..." Maybe he's also just being a jerk. He looks over her papers, quirking an eyebrow of his own. Heaven knows documents can be doctored.

Steed has left shiny post brandy for Regular!Bond at the bar, but he tips his hat at this other distinguished gentleman.

"Season's greetings to you, sir."

"Christmas already," he says with an agitated sigh.

[were_needed]

"Not a fan?" Steed enquires.

[callitavesper]

"I could do without the hustle and bustle."
